Abstract submission guidelines
Abstracts for poster / oral presentation are welcomed for the RA-UK & ISURA Joint Scientific Meeting poster competition. The submitted work should be related to the science and clinical practice of regional anaesthesia or pain.

All abstracts will be judged by an expert panel, using a standardised scoring system.
Successful candidates will be notified by email on 6th April 2023. Please note that it will not be possible to offer individual feedback on abstracts that are not accepted.
Minimum one author from each abstract is expected to register for the conference.

All accepted authors have the option to display printed poster at the conference. Preferred printing method and supplier will be explained on acceptance of Abstract. A service will be available to have posters printed and mounted on site to avoid the need for transport.
All accepted abstracts will be published on the conference website.
Trainee Prizes
The top 3 abstracts will be published in the British Journal Of Anaesthesia!
Authors of each of the top three abstracts will be invited to nominate an author to deliver an oral presentation. A minimum of one author for each paper must register and attend in person to be eligible for these top three prizes
1st place: ESRA Congress registration fee and additional costs up to £500 + 1 year RAUK membership.
2nd place: RAUK Annual Meeting registration fee and additional costs up to £250 + 1 year RAUK membership.
3rd place: £250 + 1 year RAUK membership​

Submission Guidelines
Enter a title for your abstract in less than 20 words.
The abstract submission system will allow a 250-word abstract excluding title, author details and references.
The text of the abstract should contain the following headings; introduction, methods, results and discussion. Case reports should follow introduction, case or cases, discussion.
A statement must be included indicating ethical approval where applicable.
Use a blank line to separate paragraphs.
References should be in Vancouver style.
